Recycling is now a major part of global waste management and A.E.Burgess are constantly investing in new equipment and methods to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.


2008/2009 has seen the installation of a state of the art, million pound recycling plant enabling us to screen, sort and recycle many waste streams that previously would end up at landfill.


This latest investment has now seen an increase of all materials recycled to an impressive 87% and our aim is to increase this further over the coming months.



Aggregates division of A.E.Burgess handles over 400 tonnes of inert material every day.

This is screened/crushed and turned into aggregate of various grades and then resold back into the industry.
